GLOBAL - Sea lice are naturally occurring parasites that have become an increasing concern for salmon aquaculture, costing global salmon farming more than $500 million per year. Benchmark Holdings, a company focused on solving the food industry’s biggest challenges, is investing serious time and resources in the production of lumpfish as cleaner fish to be used for biological control of sea lice.
